The solid hardwood frame is built by Johnston Benchworks of five-quarter thickness select oak and maple. Joints are glued and double-doweled; corner braces are screwed and glued in the four main corners of the frame, and legs are built right into the frame.

Johnstons Benchworks’ eight-way, hand-tied coil spring system is the ultimate in long lasting seating stability and comfort. A truly unique collection of fabrics reflecting Colonial decorating and American Country design are offered. Fabrics are flow-matched to show the full-uninterrupted pattern on the piece. Welts (cording) are cut diagonally on the pattern, creating an appealing accent.
