Chairs
and settees from River Bend Chair Company are
among the few classic Windsor’s made
today. Seats are cut from wide, white pine
and are deeply saddled for comfort and authenticity.
The underside of each seat is planed by hand
and deeply branded with the chair maker’s
name. All bent backs and arms are made from
a single piece of red or white oak-not glued
laminations. Oak is also wedged in fastening
legs and spindles in place. Each knuckle and
ear is hand carved, showing not only quality
craftsmanship, but the time and detail invested
in every chair. Finally, River Bend chairs
